Donate your old Bible for Africa

Note on envelope "Donate Bible to Southern Africa". I will ensure distribution into areas where there are certain shortages of Bibles in the poorer communities.

Avoiding Sexual Immorality

1Corinthians 6:13-20
"FOOD FOR THE STOMACH AND THE STOMACH FOR FOOD" but God will destroy them both.
The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? NEVER!
Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said "the two will become one flesh".
But he who unites him with the Lord is one with the Lord in Spirit.
Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whome you have received from God?
You are not your own, you were bought at a price. Therefor honour God with your body.

I am struggling with work and colleagues at the moment. So I read Psalms as often as possible as the Psalmists often had these times of testing. Enemies all around seeking your blood, but our Father and Lord will not let us fall to thier perverted and wicked plans.

Prayer is nessecary

Jesus himself prayed. He prayed in the garden before he was crucified. He prayed for strength because he knew the path he had to walk was to heavy. He needed help from His Father. He received what he asked for - Gods will be done! His Father's will.

When money is low and times hard

Psalm 37[a]

Armageddon - Sodom & Gomorrah population relativity calculations

So God advised Abraham that he was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah because of all the wickedness done there.
Genesis 18:23-24
23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

So God then was then willing to spare Sodom and Gomorrah for the sake of Just 50 righteous men if found in those cities as Abram requested.

Revelation 14:1
And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

So then lets do some calculations taking into account the world population of say 7 billion in the near future- say 1- 10 years.

If the population of Sodom and Gomorrah combined was 2,430,549 people or roughly 2.4 million and we take the figure of 50 righteous men we have a figure of 0.0020571% of total population.

If we take 0.0020571% of 7,000,000,000 or 7 billion of the world population we have 144,000 as mentioned above in Revelations 14.1

See the relationship between Sodom and Gomorrah and Armageddon? There needs to be minimum of 0.0020571% of the worlds population to be righteous before God decides to bring forth revelations.
(this is speculation from my side - so dont quote me on these exact figures as the populations of Sodom and Gomorrah are not accurately available in literature)

I found this info. off a biblical site - the cemetery of Bab edh-Dhra is reported to contain the remains of 500,000 individuals. The cemetery in Safi seems to hold the same number of corpses, another 500,000. The grounds of Feifa hold another 500,000. The cemeteries of Numeria and Khanazir have yet to be located; however, the known number of burials in this relatively small area of the Dead Sea Desert -- 1,500,000 bodies, if you take approximatly another 500,000x2
we have 1,5million + 1million =2,500,000 or 2,5 million. This is close to my calculation of 2,430,549.

The Bible and wine (alcahol)

"Timothy 3:8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;
Timothy 5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities."

The bible advises to use no wine if it effects your brother to sin.
"Romans 14:21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak."

So be careful when thinking that you can drink at leisure as the word of God is fine with it.... Use anything in the full context of Gods word not just in partial context.

Sinning against thy brother in knowledge is sinning against Christ.

1Corinthians 8"But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.But take heed lest by any means this liberty of your's become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ." If your knowledge influences a week brother to go in week mind and sin, you are responsible for his sin.

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.                                                 1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.           I personally dont accept any ink as being acceptable before our Great father. Does a tattoo with a cross on make you a christian?

Children and the Church - Matthew 18:2-6

"And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea."                                                                                              Because of this text I believe children should be welcome in church and not shipped off to a quiet room or sunday school before the service. Children should be included in family prayer as well. As Jesus has pointed out if we receive Him as these little ones do we shall enter the kingdom of heaven.

Xenophobia - Leviticus 19:34

"But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God."                                                                                            So God wants you to love those that are in your country as a foriegner as you would one of your own. This was directed at the time to the Israelites but if it applies to them it would apply to all of us. So why does Xenophobia exist then?                                Well those that push for it certainly cant be called christians............

One of the parables

"Luke 18:9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted."                                                                                                                                                                                                                    My comments: only God could knew how men were praying. Since the Father is with the Son then Jesus knows this. I have justified myself before in prayer so let me not cast the first stone at the Pharisee but learn from his example of impurity. Humbly know we are all sinners, dont think we are better than others.....especially before the all knowing Father and Saviour! Who are we kidding if we act as the pharisee did before God?

Galatians 1:8

"8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ."                                                                  If any people, church, or group teaches anything not in line with the bible, it is cursed. Let me give you an example, churches that allow gay people to marry, the bible states - "1Corinthinas 6:9Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind"   Effeminate means to have unsuitable feminine qualities. This meaning this church thus approves of what is unrighteous. This church is serving man, not God............ What do you think?

Covenant between you and God

"Deuteronomy 29:12That thou shouldest enter into covenant with the LORD thy God, and into his oath, which the LORD thy God maketh with thee this day:13 That he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee a God, as he hath said unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.14 Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath15;But with him that standeth here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day:"                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              If you read the text before and after,  God wants you to obey Him and not any foreign idol. Observe His statutes and He will favour you with this covenant. But break this covenant and ............Oh boy, I dont want no Babylon or pestilence in my life.

Fasting - 2nd

"Joel 2:11 And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it? 12 Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:"

God was asking Israel to turn to Him by denying themselves and showing remorse. You can do it.......

Fasting

"Daniel 6:17 And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.18 Then the king went to his palace,and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of music brought before him: and his sleep went from him. 19 Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions."

This is a heathen king that denied himself pleasures (no food & music etc) for a friend. Look at the results, his friend was saved the next morning from lions. Not to say that is was the kings actions that saved Daniel. But somehow I think God was impressed by the kings actions.

How much more is expected from you when you want to get close to God? Fasting or denying your flesh to increase your spiritual connection with Him. Fasting is not easy for the flesh but good for your spirit.

What is significant to me is that a heathen fasted for his friend and denied himself things that gave him pleasure. This is a king subjecting himself for a friend.
For God how much more is expected from us? Going to your father by denying yourself seems rite, what do you think?
